Dahlin Group Architecture Planning, founded in 1976, is a local 120-person firm
active in the areas of recreational, hospitality, residential, retail, corporate, and
institutional architecture, as well as urban design and community planning. Dahlin
Group is headquartered in Pleasanton, California and has offices in Solana Beach
(San Diego), Irvine, Beijing and Hangzhou, China.
Dahlin Groups recreational architecture includes country clubs, health clubs, and
activity centers, and master planned and active adult communities. Dahlin Group
has received over 200 design awards and continues to have its design work
published locally internationally.

Karl Danielson, Vice President/ Principal
As Principal in Charge for the Moraga Country Club, Mr. Danielson has nearly 30
years of experience directing Dahlin Group projects including country clubs, athletic
facilities, commercial centers, museums, office buildings, and mixed-use land
planning,. Mr. Danielson is a licensed architect in Arizona, California, Nevada, and
Oregon, a LEED Accredited Professional, and member of American Institute of
Architects (AIA) and NCARB. He has a B.S. in Environmental Design from U.C.
Berkeley and a Masters in Architecture from U.C.L.A. Notable local projects for Mr.
Danielson include: Oakwood Athletic Club, Lafayette; Renaissance ClubSport, Walnut
Creek; and Blackhawk Plaza, Danville.

Gregor Markel, Associate/Senior Architect
As Project Architect for the Moraga Country Club, Mr. Markel has nearly 20 years of
licensed experience as an architect and project manager. His public and private
sector project experience includes golf clubhouses, community and senior centers,
athletic and recreation facilities, hospitals, commercial offices, retail centers, hotels,
and interior architecture. Mr. Markel is a licensed architect in California, a LEED
Accredited Professional, and member of American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Notable local projects for Mr. Markel include: Rossmoor Creekside Recreation Center,
Walnut Creek; Shannon Community Center, Dublin; and Lone Tree Golf Club,
Antioch.
