FOOD WEB ANALYSIS ACTIVITY ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS In this activity, you will need the following: 1) The Food Web Analysis Worksheet. 2) Pencil. 3) Pencil crayons or colored pencils. 4) Eraser. ACTIVITY OBJECTIVES In this activity, you will learn the following: 1) How to count the number of food chains in a food web. 2) How to determine how many food chains an organism belongs to in a food web. 3) How to identify and count the following organisms in the food web: herbivores, omnivores, carnivores, top carnivores, primary consumers, secondary consumers, tertiary consumers and quaternary consumers. 4) How to identify and count organisms that have more than one role in the food web. E.g. organisms that are both primary and secondary consumers. 5) How to determine the effect an organism would have on other members of the food web if it were to go extinct.
